PM Lubricants Australia was established in 1982 and PM Lubricants are proudly Australian owned and made.
Prior to the development of the PM product range in Australia the founding directors were involved with the distribution of high quality lubricants imported from the USA specifically for heavy mining, heavy road transport, agricultural and earth moving equipment for some five years. Difficulties with supply and technical support eventually led to severance of the arrangement.
Valuable lessons were learned from this experience. As a result PM Lubricants Australia is dedicated to:

In addition to the unique honour of being the only Australian lubricants ever used in an Indy race car, PM products have been used in competition motor sports for many years. The Indy experience provided invaluable research data reproducing similar results in Australian National and State Champion motor sport cars through to the time of writing.

About PM's Founder & Managing Director
Besides being one of the original founding directors of PM Lubricants, Keith Kelley is also a Founding Member of the Brisbane Chapter Society of Tribologists and Lubricant Engineers.
Pre PM Lubricants, Keith was Queensland State Manager for the Johnson Matthey Group for sixteen years, retiring from that position in 1978. He became involved with the Oil Industry in the same year in the capacity of managing and marketing high quality imported lubricants.
He was responsible for the establishment of the name “PM Lubricants Australia” in 1982 and the development of the Registered Company since 1983.
PM Lubricants is the world’s first organisation to provide both On-Site, Predictive Maintenance Technology along with Premium Quality Preventative Maintenance Lubricants.
PM applies this unusual approach to the care of motorised vehicles and machinery, to preserve them - the opposite to the planned “obsolescence” seen and practiced elsewhere.
While the majority of the motor service industry is committed to practices that encourage high volume turnover, wastes hydrocarbon resources and increases consumer costs, PM Lubricants are designed to reduce consumer usage of these products as well as reduce vehicle and equipment operating and maintenance costs.

Between 1980 and 1988, Keith pioneered and refined the unique Complete, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Lubrication Concept® which is now widely used by many transport and equipment operators.

Keith established their first exports into New Zealand in 1984 and into Malaysia in 1985. Papua New Guinea exports began in 1996, and other places such as Hong Kong, Thailand and China have also been added to the export list.
Keith is ultimately responsible for formulations of PM Products, the Quality Standards and the Technical Training, which ensures correct application of the Product, Oil Quality Monitoring procedures and interpretation of Laboratory Analysis Reports.
